DAIRY GIRL NETWORK update...

Women are invited to the Dairy Girl Network (DGN) event scheduled at Calf & Heifer Congress. Dairy girls will meet on Wednesday, December 7th at 8:45 pm. Dairy Girl Network strives to connect dairywoment with one another as a source of support and inspiration. The event will introduc Dairy Girl Network programs. Pre-registration will be available at DairyGirlNetwork.com. Walk-ins are also welcome. Ticket price is $10.00 per person.

Replacements as the future of each dairy operation represent a large investment in time, labor and management resources. Advances in genetic selection enable the identification of animals with superior potential. The level and consistency of nutrition, disease control, environmental management and standard operating procedures determines the end result - how well this genetic potential is expressed after the fresh heifer enters the milking string. The life path of that heifer has many turns each of which can help or hinder the final performance outcome.

This year's Calf & Heifer Congress will feature a blend of take home and ready to use information, strategy to help with your future decision making and food for thought about what might be coming down the road. We have lengthened talks and panels to a full hour, there will be two panel discussions, all breaks will be 30 minutes, lunch time is 75 minutes and the first day evening will feature a great motivational dinner speaker. There will not be any after dinner program this year, however we will be hosting a Dairy Girl Network event beginning at 8:30 PM.
