August 21, 2013The Riehlmans intensively manage their high value acreage to provide feed for their dairy. After the shortage of forage last year, they sought to maximize yields during the summer months. They took off the 1st cutting and intend to plant a Sudan Grass Hybrid. Dairy Consultant, Aden Landis from Kirkwood, PA, will discuss how summer annuals can maximize production through the use of double cropping on dairy farms.
