2016 Field Crop Pest Management Meeting - Cobleskill Location
January 22, 2016The meetings run from 1-3 pm each day and participants must arrive by 1 p.m. to receive credit and have their applicators license with them, no exceptions will be made. You will only receive credit for attending one session. DEC has approved these meetings for one Core and one Category 1a, 10 or 21 (Private) applicator recertification credit (two credits total).
The meeting cost is $10.00 per person and pre-registration is required.
James Carrabba, Agricultural Safety Specialist for the New York Center for Agricultural Medicine and Health will provide an overview of Personal Protective Equipment for pesticides and updates on changes to the Worker Protection Standard regulations.
Kevin H. Ganoe, Regional Field Crop Specialist for Cornell Cooperative Extension will discuss pest corn diseases, alfalfa insect pests and weeds that were problems during the 2015 growing season and what can be done to reduce their impact in the future.
