This workshop will cover how to carry out common practices; however, specific farm protocols, diagnoses and treatments should be discussed with, and implemented according to, each farm's veterinarian.
This one-day in-person workshop is offered at different locations. It includes hands-on demonstration and practice. Participants will leave with a certificate of completion.
Performance Objectives:
On cows & calves...
¨ Identify and practice appropriate injection/IV fluid sites and routes of administration
¨ Proper blood draw and urine collection technique, and BHBA meter use
¨ Correct use of esophageal feeder and drenching technique
¨ Effective use of bolus guns
¨ Proper ear-tagging technique
