The NYS Soil and Water Conservation Committee, NRCS, and the NY Soil Health Alliance will offer a walking tour of the equipment on display at the Empire Farm Days. Participants will discuss field-, fruit-, and vegetable-crop equipment uses (primary focus on tillage implements) as well as implications for nutrient management, soil health, crop and pest management, and safety with vendors and specialists from NRCS (Josh Hornesky, Ron Young), Soil and Water (Jason Cuddeback, Cayuga SWCD), and the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets (Brendan Jordan, Ron Bush, and Greg Albrecht).

9:45 AM - Meet on the EFD grounds at the NYS Agriculture and Markets Tent (lot #240 near the southeast corner of the EFD grounds on the east side of Landowner Lane South) - NOTE: parking is $10, but admission is free.
10 AM - 12:30 PM - Walking tour of equipment displays (Josh Hornesky, Ron Young, USDA-NRCS, Jason Cuddeback, Cayuga SWCD, and Brendan Jordan, Ron Bush, and Greg Albrecht, NYS AGM)
12:30 - 1:30 PM - Lunch on your own (many food vendor options)
1:30 PM - Re-group at the Ag and Markets Tent (lot #240)
1:30 - 3:00 PM - Continue walking tour of equipment displays
3:00 PM - Adjourn

CCA credits will be offered (1.5 SW, 0.5 NM, 0.5 PM, and 0.5 CM pending approval). We'll tour rain or shine and shade is scarce, so bring sunscreen, raincoats, water, etc. accordingly.
