Adding Value to your Harvest for Year Round Income

July 7, 2020

With shifts in the value chain due to COVID-19, many farmers are looking for ways to make their fresh products shelf-stable. This webinar will explore processes, experiences, resources, and support for farmers interested in determining the feasibility of making value added products from their farm. Attendees will hear from Laurette Tucker, a rural business specialist at USDA's Rural Development, and Coley Jones, a managing member of Richlands Creamery, who has gone through the Value Added Producer Program to create value added products on her farm. This webinar is being shared by the Virginia Beginning Farmer and Rancher Coalition Program and Virginia Tech/Virginia Cooperative Extension. The meeting is free to attend, and registration is not required.

The meeting can be accessed via this link https://virginiatech.zoom.us/j/93262416196 or by phone at +1 929 436 2866 (US) using Webinar ID: 932 6241 6196.
