Soil Health Meeting

June 11, 2014

Central New York Dairy & Field Crops Team and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Delaware County is sponsoring the second in a series of soil health meetings during the 2014 growing season.

Residue management is critical to notill planting success and to improving soil health. The Jordan Brothers have planted notill corn and soybeans for many years and this will be a chance to discuss the challenges they have faced in doing so successfully. This hands on meeting will focus on measuring and managing residue and address related planter and pest issues. We will be looking at corn planted into corn and soybean stubble.

There is no cost and pre-registration is not required.

The meeting will be at Jordan's machinery building and drying bins on the south side of County Route 48 just immediately west of the I88 overpass.  County Highway 48 can be accessed at I88 Interchange 13 (Rt 205), travel 2.5 miles west on County Highway 48 to the meeting site or from I88 Interchange 12, travel 3 miles east on County Highway 48 to the meeting site.

2026 Forage Congress

March 12, 2026
Nunda, NY

Due to the unprecedented winter storm that recently impacted travel conditions across the region and U.S., combined with extreme cold temperatures and associated safety concerns, Forage Congress was postponed out of an abundance of caution. This decision was made with the safety of our participants, speakers, staff, and venue partners as the highest priority.

We are pleased to officially announce that Forage Congress has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 12, 2026, and will be held at The Nunda Ranch as originally planned.

Address: 2278-NY 436, Nunda, New York 14517

Sponsorship opportunities, vendor participation, and event registration are now open. We are excited to reconvene this important educational program and look forward to welcoming producers, industry partners, and speakers for a full day of applied, research-based forage systems programming.
